Newlyweds can select from among a variety of venues appropriate for as few as 20 people, or as many as 750. Those who want to usher in their marriage with a burst of sunlight will be delighted with our glass-enclosed light and airy Atrium. If a more dramatic setting is to your liking, the Rotunda and its 41-foot copper-domed ceiling height will add an exclamation point to any reception. For those seeking a more traditional setting, we offer the elegant 7,200-square-foot Grand Ballroom. Couples with a long guest list can have a festive atmosphere to match in the Pavilion, a 10,400-square-foot climate-controlled and carpeted tent available from April to October.

Once your reception has started, you’ll be treated to white-glove service by our knowledgeable and experienced staff. They have made The Crowne Plaza the most popular wedding destination in Rhode Island. While our banquet staff is capable of executing a party planned with the precision of a marching band, it is also capable of responding to spontaneous events that are often the most remembered when couples recall their wedding day.

Hovering over the celebration, regardless of its size or scope, will be one of our Special Events Directors, the equivalent of an in-house wedding planner. Every marriage is unique, and our culinary team can customize a menu that reflects the matchless quality of your singular romantic match.

As important as the ceremony and the reception are to any wedding, even the most sumptuous nuptials require a before-and-after that satisfies the practical requirements of the day. From the moment attendees enter the dramatic 1,000-foot driveway, surrounded by 17 acres of manicured landscaped lawns, they will feel as special as the occasion. Starting with parking, something as pedestrian as it is important, your guests will be delighted to find that there’s plenty of it -- and that it’s free. Those staying overnight at the hotel will be pleased with our oversized guest rooms and our elaborate suites, which contain wet bars, dining and living-room areas, and adjoining bedrooms. Attendees flying in will be delighted to learn that Rhode Island’s T. F. Green Airport is less than 10 minutes away, and the Crowne Plaza offers free shuttle service from the terminal to the hotel.
